The USS Poseidon is to be assigned soon. Starfleet has deemed the recent events and loss of life to be a tragedy not worth repeating. To save the efforts of the Academy and Commodore Paladin, Starfleet has arranged for the USS Poseidon and her crew to more simple and safer missions deemed less hazardous.

It will be tough to convey this to the crew. They've worked so hard. But I agree with the decision.
