Computer, personal log. Date supplemental.

“So, Poseidon is finally on shore leave. The crew will benefit greatly from some time off the ship. The planet has fair conditions for all types of recreation and relaxation.”

Leland paused and rubbed his forehead. “I have some extra paperwork to catch up on. I will be joining the rest of the crew on the planet in due time. I’m beaming down to a mountainside resort with many nice walking trails in Swiss Alps style.” He cleared his throat.

Looking through his padd, he directed. “Computer this version, time index 2-9, and send it to my parents. Start message now…

“Hello, Mom, Dad. I am here on Poseidon. Unfortunately, we are not reaching Earth for our shore leave. Although, you can be sure I will use the time to rest and relax. You always say I work too hard; I never know when I work too hard. I guess my body gives out, and I start getting migraines like the one I have now.” He paused and chuckled. “Pop. I have a glass of whiskey; it is placing a good dent in my migraine. Everything is good. There are no women in my life, sorry, Mom. Nothing to report on that front. How is Doctor William doing? Has he finished his undersea mapping of the Carpathian peninsula? How is Tilley doing? I miss him. Give that old mutt a good scruff behind his ears for me!

I wish you all well. I know you are doing good. I am doing good. I will see you soon and wish you the best.

Leland
