[HUPYRIAN MALE]: Ah, Miss Shakura. May I presume you wish to talk with your Father?

[KANAKA]: Yes, that is correct.

[HUPYRIAN MALE]: I feel I should warn you - he had quite the scare the other day. He didn't recognise where he was and became quite aggressive. Though it seems to have subsided, he may be prone to relapse.

[KANAKA]: I see. Please could you fetch him?

*A few moments of silence pass, followed by the sounds of mumbling in the far distance, slowly coming closer. Eventually, Augustus Shakura comes into view.*

[AUGUSTUS]: Wha--Who's there?!

[KANAKA]: Father, it's me. It's Kana.

[AUGUSTUS]: Kana...Where have you been? I haven't seen you in so long! Have you been getting into trouble with those friends of yours, oh what were they called--

[KANAKA]: Jihai and Usrin?

[AUGUSTUS]: Eh?

[KANAKA]: Jihai and Usrin Abora. The twins. Our next door neighbours.

[AUGUSTUS]: Oh well, it doesn't matter. You should come home, you've missed so many dinners. I bet you're hungry.

[KANAKA]: I'm a bit too far away from home for that, Father. I'm aboard my new posting, the U.S.S. Poseidon. We're currently docked at Starbase Ninety-Nine. Do you remember?

[AUGUSTUS]: ...Oh, of course! Silly me. Of course I remember! Do you think you'll be back soon?

[KANAKA]: Unfortunately not. We're going to be doing escort missions, pretty long haul stuff. I can't say when I'll be home, but when I have the chance I'll be sure to let you know.

[AUGUSTUS]: I see. Is this to do with your Mother?

[KANAKA]: No Father, it's just--

[AUGUSTUS]: I know you both had an argument when you left for...wherever it is you went--

[KANAKA]: The Academy.

[AUGUSTUS]: Right, right. But I mean, it's in the past now right? Why can't you just come home and we can be a happy family? I'll make us Uttaberry pudding, just how you like it!

[KANAKA]: ...

[AUGUSTUS]: Kana... I miss you.

[KANAKA]: I miss you too, Father. I promise I will be home as soon as I can be there.

[AUGUSTUS]: Well, why don't you tell me a story of where you've been?

[KANAKA]: Alright, well...
