Happy New Year 2024! and Sim Update

Hey Crew,

I wish you all a happy start to 2024! I hope your new years was as wonderful as mine. I'm not a very social creature, so I spent it on VR with a few friends and got a little tipsy. It was an enjoyable experience! I hope yours was as good, if not more. I wish and hope that 2024 is an excellent year for you all and much prosperity is opened to you!

Speaking of the new year, the Poseidon Sim will enter 2396 after the conclusion of our mission at Tellar.

In other news, I've decided not to upgrade the Poseidon to an Intrepid-class. Instead, I am creating an entirely new sim that will cooperate and coincide in timeline with the Poseidon in 2396. It will be an Intrepid-class. Canonically, Starfleet has decided that the Poseidon has proven to be a valuable addition to Academy operations. It will continue to exist on its own. The intended replacement for the Poseidon will instead be commissioned as a new ship, and we may even see characters from here progress to there!

This decision is the culmination of a year and a half of planning and hard work on that part. I finally decided the Poseidon had too much work in here to change, and I refuse to do that. Instead I will improve her and continue her mission of creating the next generation of officers and be a place for people to create their PC's and NPC's! My newly upcoming sim will make reference to the Poseidon, if I am able to do so, and be the sim that does the exploration roles I originally intended for the Poseidon. So I'll manage two ships!

I'll keep you updated how this progresses as the year goes on. I look forward to see the Poseidon grow and prosper and, eventually, managing my new sim if approved by Theta Fleet!
